Learning Objective: Students will give their opinion on how to solve a social conflict and learn the meanings of idioms.
Materials Needed: “A Friend Picks a Fight” worksheet (will be e-mailed), braille writer, paper, computer, I-Pad.
Activity: Students will read “ A Friend Picks a Fight” worksheets and complete discussion questions.

Students will interpret a food recipe.
Materials Needed:
Interpreting a recipe worksheet. (Yummy Bars) (will be e-mailed to you), braille writer or computer to record your answers

Learning Objective: Students will distinguish between a credit card and a debit card.
Materials Needed: Credit vs Debit card worksheet and scenario questions. (will be e-mailed to you)
Activity: Part 1: Students will read the short descriptions and decide if it describes a credit card or a debit card
Part 2: Read the scenarios and answer the questions. .

Materials Needed: Financial literacy vocabulary worksheet (worksheet will be e-mailed to you)
Activity: Read financial literacy vocabulary and define.
Week of May 11-15
Learning Objective: Students will learn new facts/ trivia about pasta/ Students will increase their independent living skills.
Materials Needed: Worksheet “Pasta Trivia” (worksheet will be e-mailed to you); braille writer/paper
Activity: Read "Pasta Trivia”. Research and answer questions. Record your answers. Please continue to practice independent living skills by helping with chores at home.
Week of May 4-8
Learning Objective: Students will demonstrate understanding of deposit and withdrawals in the banking system.
Materials Needed: Worksheet "Making Deposits and Withdrawals" worksheet (will be e-mailed); calculator and braille writer if needed.
Activity: Read "Making deposits and withdrawal worksheet story problems and solve (worksheet will be e-mailed)
Week of April 20-24
Learning Objective: Students will identify self-awareness in the areas of strengths and things that they need to work on.
Activity: Complete sentences or list your answers from the Self-Awareness worksheet. Print will be e-mailed and braille copies will be mailed.
