Learning Objective: Students will give their opinion on how to solve a social conflict and learn the meanings of idioms.

Materials Needed: Worksheet “A Friend Picks a Fight”, braille writer, paper, computer or I-pad. (will be e-mailed to you)

Activity: Students will read “A Friend Picks a Fight” scenario and complete discussion questions.

Students will interpret a food recipe.

Materials Needed:

Interpreting a recipe worksheet. (Yummy Bars) (will be e-mailed to you), braille writer or computer to record your answers

Learning Objective: Students will distinguish between a credit card and a debit card.

Materials Needed: Credit card vs Debit card worksheet. (will be e-mailed to you)

Activity: Part 1: Students will read descriptions and decide if it is a credit card or debit card).

Part 2: Read the scenarios and answer the questions.

Materials Needed: Financial literacy worksheet, braille writer, paper, iphone or computer. (will be e-mailed to you)

Activity: Read list of new financial literacy vocabulary and define.

Week of May 4-8

Learning Objective: Students will demonstrate understanding of deposit and withdrawals in the banking system.

Materials Needed: "Making Deposits and Withdrawals" worksheet/ calculator

Activity: Read story problems titled " Making Deposits and Withdrawals", solve and record answers. (Worksheets will be e-mailed to you).

Week of April 27-May 1

Learning Objective: Students will solve the ecology problems to discover the magnitude of the impact waste and pollution has on our planet.

Materials Needed: “Recycled Problems” worksheet available via email.

Activity: Read "Recycled Problems" worksheet and solve. Record your answer. Worksheets will be e-mailed to you.

Week of April 20-24

Learning Objective: Students will identify self-awareness in the areas of strengths and things to work on.

Activity: Complete sentences or list answers from Self-Awareness worksheet. Print and braille copies will be mailed to you.

Materials Needed: Self-Awareness worksheets /braille writer and paper

Week of April 6-10

Participate in housekeeping activities and braille list of jobs completed.
